AND CANDIDATE RECOMMENDATIONS.
Dear Neighbor,
I’m Chris Corbett. I’m the “Precinct Chair” for our precinct of the Denton County Republican Party. Our precinct is #3150. We are bounded by College (south) and Kirkpatrick (north and east), and Morriss (west).
IT IS CRUCIAL TO VOTE, AND VOTE REPUBLICAN.
Polls show races are neck and neck. Because of apathy and a perceived bad economy, TEXAS IS ON THE VERGE OF ELECTING GINA HINOJOSA GOVERNOR, and JAMES TALARICO U.S. SENATOR. The "scary" polls you read about are real. We will need historic turnout. The laws that govern you could be decided by a handful of votes, including yours.
Defeat could quickly turn Texas into the next California. Both Hinojosa and Talarico are campaigning as moderates but have records that show they are radical Left. And in today's Democrat Party, the leaders and activists are all socialists, "woke," or worse. You don't have to love every Republican candidate, but the alternative is disaster for your family. We need Republicans in all offices -- or we will have extremists making the rules for you.
The Democrat Party has been largely taken over by leaders who are extremists, and want to remake Texas (and America) in a socialist manner: REMEMBER THE FLOWER MOUND BUSINESS, OWNED BY A DEMOCRAT LEADER, WHO POSTED "F*** AMERICA" on social media on July 4th? That business was embraced by Democratic activists and leadership in response to that remark. Their policies will govern UNLESS you get out and vote.
That will mean heavy government control and ownership—steady elimination of private property. Higher taxes on income. Light sentences for criminals, who they claim are an “oppressed class.” Less religious freedom if you disagree with sexualizing children in schools. Dramatically more welfare. Open borders.
But if you don’t want this direction for your family and community,
YOU NEED TO VOTE NOW, and vote Republican down the ballot.
VOTE AND GET LIKE-MINDED FRIENDS TO VOTE!

U.S. Senate: PAXTON NOT TALARICO
Why: The question you face is: Who do you want voting—as your next U.S. Senator—on:
Supreme Court Justices and federal court judges who serve for life?
How much the IRS taxes you?
Whether the U.S. government uses tax funds to impose “transgenderism” on the military, hospitals, schools, and government employees? Whether we open the border again to mass illegal immigration?
Whether we erode the 2nd Amendment via hundreds of regulations?
Whether we ban school choice in all 50 states?
Whether we impose “global warming” “Green New Deal” attacks on energy in Texas and all 50 states?
Whether Congress mandates abortion in all 50 states?
Will you give this power to Austin-area state representative James Talarico, a man rated (by Rice University’s analysis of legislative records) as one of the most extreme, far-Left members of the Texas legislature — a man who voted . . . NOT to ban a state income tax . . . for men in women’s sports and bathrooms . . . transgender counseling of students in school without parental consent . . . transgender chemical and surgical mutilation of minors . . . illegal immigration . . . easy (or no) bail for violent offenders . . . no school choice for parents and kids . . . and sexually explicit books in school libraries? Is that who you should send to Washington to vote for your family? No. Please don’t empower a man who will vote against you, your family, your values, and your country.
Or, should you give the power of a U.S. Senator to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a man with a solid, steady, conservative record of over 15 years as a state legislator and attorney general—a man who . . . consistently fought to lower property taxes and cut government waste despite Talarico’s efforts . . . used the attorney general’s office in court to protect women’s sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms from Talarico’s transgender agenda . . . sued to stop illegal immigration and trafficking cartels that were part of the Biden/Talarico border invasion . . . supported school choice despite Talarico’s opposition . . . sued to keep violent criminals from getting out on easy bail to kill or harm Texans, despite Talarico’s opposition . . . defended religious freedom in schools and elsewhere . . . defended gun rights despite Talarico’s attacks . . . opposed abortion-on-demand, despite Talarico’s pro-abortion efforts? Yes. Please vote for the steady conservative record of a man who will vote FOR you, your family, your values, and your country.
Texas State House of Representatives, District 63: BUMGARNER NOT WOOTEN
Why: Ben Bumgarner has been a champion of lowering property taxes, strengthening law-and-order, stamping out human and drug trafficking by cartels who use the I-35E and I-35W corridors in our district, and working for lower energy bills. His Democrat opponent, Denise Wooten, has been rejected by voters repeatedly because of her extremist "woke" views on income taxes, unreliable and expensive "Green New Deal" rejection of fossil fuels, and support for radicals who call for challenges of police and even defunding them. She also supports the entire transgender agenda aimed as sexualizing public school students. But the far Left is pouring money in an effort to fool voters, defeat Bumgarner, and replace him with the extremist Wooten. Make sure you vote to keep Ben Bumgarner and reject Wooten and her radical backers.
U.S. House of Representatives, District 26: GILL
Why: Brandon Gill was one of the young stars of true conservative, effective reform in Congress. His first term was exceptional in terms of the two things the House does: legislation and oversight. He introduced needed bills, and held officials accountable.
Texas Governor: ABBOTT NOT HINOJOSA
Why: Like Talarico, Democrat Gina Hinojosa is an Austin-area politician with an extremist liberal voting record. Like Talarico, when voting on whether to ban a state income tax, she voted “No.” In other words, “Yes” to a possible state tax on your income. And Democrat politicians love taxes. She claims to be for lower property taxes, but she will work to replace property tax revenue with other sources like a state income tax. She was rated to the far, far left of the Texas legislature. She was FOR the “transgender agenda”
including men in women’s sports and private areas . . . FOR legal transgender indoctrination of school kids . . . FOR legal gender surgical transitioning of kids . . . FOR radical restrictions on fossil fuels even if it raises energy rates and hurts reliability . . . FOR Biden’s disastrous open border policies. Like Talarico, Hinojosa fled the state rather than vote for education freedom.
Greg Abbott is responding to conservative voter desires. He has thrown himself behind property tax reform. He also backed strong criminal justice measures needed to protect citizens from violent criminals released on bail by liberal judges. He’s reliable and responsive.
Texas Lt. Governor: PATRICK
Why: Under Dan Patrick, Texas has given homeowners hundreds of thousands of dollars per household in property tax exemptions and relief. To take the next step in property tax reform, Patrick plans to address the scandal of local tax agencies overvaluing property to squeeze more taxes out of us. Patrick is also pro-law-and-order, and a champion for religous freedom in Texas and across the nation, serving as chairman of the President's Commission on Religious Freedom.
Texas Attorney General: MIDDLETON
Why: Mayes Middleton is a lawyer and a state senator who also has a great track record in the issues that are most important for our communities. He would continue Ken Paxton’s aggressive push for conservative principles and law-and-order.
Texas Comptroller: HUFFINES
Why: Texas government is filled with waste and inefficiency. Don Huffines has vowed to root it out, and his track record as a state senator and businessman indicates that he has the will and competence to make major progress. This is arguably one of the three most important races for the financial health of Texans.
Texas Land Commissioner: BUCKINGHAM
Why: The land commissioner oversees land use and contracts, and affects the state budget. Under Dawn Buckingham, Texas has prospered and produced jobs. Buckingham's opponents is a radical "Green New Deal" advocate who would jeopardize that progress.
Texas Agriculture Commissioner: SHEETS
Why: Nathan Sheets is a strong conservative and a successful entrepreneur in the agriculture sector at a time when the Texas Agriculture Department needs to increase the department’s credibility and effectiveness. His Democrat opponent is a "Green New Deal" extremist in the mold of Europe (and Europe has wrecked its agriculture with the policies the Democrat favors).
Texas Railroad Commissioner: FRENCH
Why: The Railroad Commission regulates oil, gas, and minerals, so is vital to Texans’ prosperity. Bo French, current chair of the Tarrant County GOP will push for reliable, affordable sources of energy. His Democrat opponent favors radical “Green New Deal” policies that increase rates and decrease reliability. This is a critical position to keep out of the hands of Democrat extremists.
Texas Supreme Court:
BLACKLOCK ( Chief Justice)
SULLIVAN (Justice)
KYLE HAWKINS NOT KRISTEN HAWKINS (Justice)
BUSBY (Justice)
Why: This is the highest court in Texas for non-criminal matters; extremely important. Republicans Blacklock, Sullivan, Kyle (not Kristen) Hawkins, and Busby will not warp the law to political preference, but rather will interpret and apply the law according to its plain meaning and original intent.
Criminal Court of Appeals Judges
Place 3: SMITH
Place 4: YEARY
Place 9: MESSINGER
Why: This is the highest court in Texas for criminal matters; extremely important. Republican judge candidates Tom Smith, Kevin Yeary, and John Messinger will not warp the law to their political preferences, but rather will interpret and apply the law according to its plain meaning and original intent. Their Democrat opponents will rule for "woke social justice" favoring criminals (whom they see as "oppressed") rather than the rule of law that protects innocent citizens from crime.
State Board of Education, District 14: MINDY BUMGARNER
Why: The State Board of Education (SBOE) sets curriculum standards, and for 2 years the incumbant for District 14 has been voting against reforming a broken, politically "woke" set of curricula being fed to Texas students. Mindy Bumgarner is a conservative, a trained psychologist, and a wife and mom who has attended SBOE meetings and will be an exemplary board member for teachers and students. Her opponent is another Democrat extremist who will prioritize bureaucrats, indoctrination, and politics over education.
15th Court of Appeals Justices
Chief Justice: BRISTER
Place 2: FIELD
Place 3: FERRIS
Why: This is the highest court in Texas for criminal matters; extremely important. Republican judge candidates Tom Smith, Kevin Yeary, and John Messinger will not warp the law to their political preferences, but rather will interpret and apply the law according to its plain meaning and original intent. Their Democrat opponents will rule for "woke social justice" favoring criminals (whom they see as "oppressed") rather than the rule of law that protects innocent citizens from crime.
District Judge, 481st Judicial District: LEVONIUS
Why: This court handles cases that include family and children. Levonius has been a great judge in this sensitive position. Her opponent is a "social justice" leftist. Help our community and keep Crystal Levonius. Don't neglect this position.
Denton County Judge: EADS
Why: County Commissioners Court is like the "city council" of the county--and hugely consequential for your life. Traffic, roads, and other infrastructure run through the commissioners. Andy Ead has been a superb County Judge, a steady hand that has led to prosperity in a time of population growth.
Denton County Clerk: LUKE
Why: County Clerk must make sure all legal documents and processes work smoothly. Julie Luke has been superb, saving the County money, and will not let the office be politicized, which is likely what would happen under a Democrat clerk.
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4: HUGHEY
Why: Justice of the Peace is the court closest to the everyday citizen, ounty Commissioners Court is like the "city council" of the county--and hugely consequential for your life. Harris Hughey has done an outstanding job for years. We should not replace him with a liberal Democrat.
Denton Appraisal District Board of Directors: GUZMAN
Why: The Democrats will try to infiltrate this board to press for higher property taxes and the entire "woke" agenda. Vote against big government by keep Guzman on the board to protect against higher taxes.

James Talarico’s record on other issues is the same: extreme liberal. For teaching racial division and anti-American “Critical Theory” in schools. For expensive, unreliable “Green New Deal” windfarms rather than reliable, less expensive clean fossils. We don’t want him choosing Supreme Court justices and helping set national policies.
PAXTON
Paxton’s record can be summarized the mirror opposite of Talarico’s. As a legislator, Paxton fought hard to cut taxes. He was remarkably consistent for an elected politician. As Attorney General, he:
Aggressively sued Joe Biden to stop the feds from forcing our borders to be even more open.
Defeated Talarico’s and Biden’s allies in court to counter illegal immigration.
Enforced SB14, and defeated Talarico’s allies in court to keep men out of women in sports and private areas.
Defeated Talarico’s and Biden’s allies in court to protect students against sexual LGBTQ indoctrination.
Went to court to successfully defeat attacks on gun rights.
Sued “Big Tech” (Google, Meta, etc.)—successfully—to protect Texans’ privacy rights.
As Senator, Paxton will only vote for constitutional, conservative judges for the U.S. Supreme Court and federal courts.
I’ve spent so much space on the Senate race because it is so important, and so close. Also, it is no different than every other race on your ballot. Vote Republican all the way down from Senator to local judges, with no exceptions. The Democrats have nominated a line-up of candidates as radical as Talarico, hoping that voters will be so distracted by high prices that they won’t notice the immense danger of the larger Democrat socialist agenda to their long-term livelihoods, their families, and their way of life. Socialism and wokeism hurt people and destroy societies. These ideas don’t work. But socialism and wokeism is what the leaders of the NEW Democrat Party are planning for you, even if they won’t tell you upfront.
